From Curious Kid to Security Leader
Long before I stepped into the professional world, I was the kid who was always taking things apart to see how they worked—especially computers. I built my first machine before I hit double digits, and I had a knack for customizing, tweaking, and occasionally breaking things so badly that my parents had to reformat the entire system. It wasn’t always pretty, but that curiosity and drive to tinker laid the foundation for everything that came next.
A Steady Climb Through the Technical Ranks
My journey into cybersecurity wasn’t a sudden shift—it was a steady evolution. I started in technical support, where I learned the importance of empathy, clear communication, and solving real-world problems under pressure.
From there, I moved into systems engineering, gaining hands-on experience with infrastructure, networks, virtualization, and cloud environments. That’s where my interest in how systems work deepened into a focus on how to protect them—and how attackers find their way in.
That curiosity became a calling. I transitioned into security engineering, working on vulnerability management, incident response, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives. Today, I help organizations build security into the core of their operations—not as an afterthought, but as a strategic advantage.
My Philosophy
Security doesn’t have to be overwhelming or exclusive. I believe in building transparent, collaborative, and business-aligned security that empowers teams, supports growth, and reduces friction. It’s not about checklists or buzzwords—it’s about practical, effective solutions.
At Sigcurity, my goal is to share what I’ve learned through experience, guide others who are building or maturing their programs, and help bridge the gap between technical execution and business impact.
